Only Risk-Takers Get Everything God Has for Them.

Peter is the only man besides Jesus who ever walked on water. Why? Because he was the only one in that boat who got out.

Ezekiel, Esther, Abraham, Paul. The pattern, not the exception. The question is simple: are you?

Only risk-takers get everything God has for them.

Only risk-takers leave the shore and swim until they cannot touch bottom.

Scripture does not hide this pattern. It repeats it. Again and again, God hands His biggest promises to the people willing to get out of the boat.

The Pattern · Not the Exception

Four Who Took the Risk

They looked foolish. They did it anyway.

Ezekiel

Prophesied to dry bones. Looked foolish. Did it anyway. The valley filled with an army. (Ezekiel 37)

Esther

"If I perish, I perish." She stepped into the king's room uninvited. A whole nation lived because of that risk. (Esther 4:16)

Abraham

Left home not knowing where he was going. He only knew Who called him. He became the father of nations. (Genesis 12)

Paul

Walked away from status, comfort, and safety. Counted it all as loss for the sake of knowing Christ. (Philippians 3:7-14)

The Only One Who Got Out

Walk on Water Like Peter.

The storm raged. Jesus walked on the water. Peter called out: "Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water." Jesus said one word. "Come."

And Peter walked on water. He is the only man besides Jesus who ever has. Why? Because he was the only one in that boat who got out.

The other disciples were faithful. They were disciples. They just did not walk. They stayed in the boat, watching the miracle that could have been theirs.

"Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water. He said, Come."

Matthew 14:28-29 (ESV)

"In Jesus, you can do all things. Even walk on water like Peter."

Come off the shore. Not because the water is safe, but because Jesus stands on it and He is saying "come." Faith is not tested in the boat. It is tested on the water.

"I can do all things through him who strengthens me."

Philippians 4:13 (ESV)

A Question for You

Are you the pattern or the exception? What is God asking you to do that looks foolish, feels risky, and you know requires getting out of the boat? Name it. That is where the water begins.

A Prayer Over Your Life

Father, give me the courage to get out of the boat. To leave the shore. To swim to where my feet cannot touch bottom and only You hold me up. Do not let me be one who watches the miracle from safety. Make me the pattern, not the exception. In Jesus name. Amen.
