What God Did in Honduras. We Did Not Expect This.

We thought we were bringing a framework to Honduras. We were wrong. Every teaching we gave, God gave us back double.

This week: Night 1 in San Pedro Sula, Night 2 in Comayagua, Diana and the women, and what Paul the Tentmaker has to do with all of it.

For 30 years we have taught Christian families in the wealthiest nation on earth how to break the spirit of poverty. We watched it work. We watched families walk into freedom. We watched debt cycles die and generational wealth begin.

We thought we were bringing a framework to Honduras. We thought we were the ones doing the giving.

The Honduran pastors and the women of Comayagua taught us something too. They taught us what it looks like to receive teaching without ego. What it looks like to repent publicly. What it looks like to say yes God without hedging. Every teaching we gave, God gave us back double.

Part 1

San Pedro Sula. 100 Pastors and leaders. Same Lies. Different Language.

Men and women filled the room in San Pedro Sula. Every one of them leading a church, a family, and a community wrestling with the spirit of poverty. Same spirit we see back home. Same lies. Different language.

We taught SEEDS Framework. Watched pastors respond. Watched hands go up. Watched God begin to shift something in that city in real time.

The spirit of slavery (romans 8)  is not a Central American problem. It is a spiritual problem. It shows up in every language, every country, every income bracket, every heart that has believed the whisper that God is holding out.

Pastors and leaders heard that verse taught not as a religious obligation but as a declaration of war against a spirit that had held their communities captive for generations. The room was never the same after that.

Part 2

Comayagua. One Pastor.

We drove to Comayagua for night two. Different city. Different pastors. Same story.

One pastor in that room told us something that stopped us cold. His church had never had a single conversation about money. Not one. In many years. His congregation wrestled privately with scarcity, with the spirit of poverty, and he had never once named it from the front of the room.

Not because he did not care. Because nobody had ever given him the language or the framework to address it.

That conversation is why SEEDS exists. Not to sell a program. To give a framework to households and leaders who have been trying to figure it out alone. In their head. In the dark. While the congregation they love carries weight they were never designed to carry without counsel.

We taught Malachi 3:10-11 again in Comayagua. Watched hands go up. Watched the same God move in a different room. One framework. Two cities. The same spirit broken twice in one week.

Part 3

Diana and the Women. Same Freedom. Different Room.

Saturday was Diana preaching in a room filled with God's daughters.

There is a specific weight women carry when the household finances are not being led well. When the husband has checked out. When the culture assumes she does not have a voice. When she has been managing the money quietly, alone, without acknowledgment or framework or spiritual covering for it.

We saw rain falling only over the Ministerio Renuevo Comayagua church building when, without knowing Diana would prophesy about rain,  Chad prayed rain would fall over the women. At the moment Diana spoke Joel 2 over the women, rain started falling. 

Tears. Confession. Repentance. Faith. Not performance. Real movement. The kind that only happens when someone finally names what has been unnamed for years and gives it to God instead of carrying it alone.

The women in that room are the ones who will change generational cycles in Honduras. Not because they are louder than the men. Because they decided to be curse breakers.

Same freedom. Different room. The same God who met the pastors Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning met the women on Saturday evening. Just as present. Just as specific. Just as willing to break what had been held too long.

Part 4

Paul the Tentmaker. Your Work Is Not Your Waiting Room.

Paul was an apostle AND a tentmaker.

The greatest missionary of the early church did not quit his day job. He kept making tents while he planted churches. In Acts 18:2-3, Paul arrives in Corinth and finds Aquila and Priscilla. Same trade. Same faith. Same city. Not by accident. God orchestrated the encounter.

Their ideas collided. Their business grew. The gospel spread through the same hands that stitched tents at midnight. That was not the exception in the early church. That was the model.

SEEDS is not a church. It is not a pulpit. It is a tent. We make it. We use it. And through it, the same Kingdom truth that transforms a family in Puerto Rico transforms over 100 pastors in San Pedro Sula and a room of women in Comayagua.
